The Learning Curve

I have spent four fabulous months at Redefine and I’m glad I joined this organisation. I got the first-hand corporate exposure here in my past 2.5 years of work experience and I have never ceased to let go of even a single out of the infinite learning opportunities that I got here.  I am immensely grateful to my manager and my colleagues for motivating and pushing me forward when I struggled to get the numbers and when the going seemed tough in my initial days. They were really cooperative and mentored me through the work challenges that I faced. While working for Advaita and Avaya, along with learning the nuances of lead generation, the greatest thing that I have learnt here is how to remain inspired and self-confident even when I am in the midst of experienced colleagues and how to communicate unambiguously with the clients. I am confident that in the coming days, I would be able to shift my learning trajectory steeply upwards given the innumerable avenues for growing that I get here.

It was a massive switch that I made when I decided to shift from the automobiles to event marketing industry for joining Redefine in September last year. And the shift was not without its fair share of challenges. There were a lot of market-specific skills and knowledge that needed to be gained in order to thrive in the job role that I had chosen. However, the progress that I have made in 5 months in terms of learning the basics and acquiring the job capabilities has taken me aback. It’s tremendous and it has transformed the perception that I had of myself. While working for clients like Micro Focus, SAP, Tata and IDG, the first and foremost thing that I learnt was handling different array of clients and catering to their individual business needs. It would, off course, not had been possible without the unrelenting support and trust of my manager, team leader and colleagues and I am really thankful to them for that. My aim in the days to come is to hone my skills further so that I can soon move into client servicing department.
